Ugo Gaspardone

Founder & creator

Ugo Gaspardone, also known as Ugo de Balzac, was born into a family of advertising professionals in the second half of the last century. After studying law, he began working as a copywriter at an agency in Turin, the capital of the Po Department. It was a fairly large agency that often featured on Carosello. A few years later, he set up a small agency of his own. A few years later still, he opened another one that was a little less small, before finally becoming de Balzac together with Gaetano de Balzac.

Ugo Gaspardone, also known as Ugo de Balzac, produced, amongst other things, the first comparative advertising campaign for Acqua Sant’Anna, the first website in the Piedmontese dialect for the Centrale del Latte di Torino, the name ‘Brera’ for Alfa Romeo. Not to mention a long, very long series of projects for Riso Gallo, Galup, Italgas, Ferrero, L’Oréal, Barilla, Dufour, Indesit, Italdesign and Pininfarina.
