BESS stands for the Piedmont Electronic Library of Social and Economic Sciences (an acronym that may be missing the final ‘E’ and a ‘P’, but is nonetheless very effective).
It currently comprises fifteen libraries and documentation centres.
As of today, it also features a new website and a genuine ‘Made in Balzac’ brand.
