Vol.To – Volontariato Torino ETS is a recognised second-level Third Sector association (i.e. an association of associations) comprising 147 member organisations. Since 1997, it has been working alongside and in the service of volunteers to ensure they are increasingly aware of their role in building the common good, free from constraints and obligations, properly trained and supported, and active participants in defining and implementing social policies.
Small budget, big story
We didn’t bring in Christopher Nolan to direct. We didn’t bring the city of Turin to a standstill whilst filming the scenes. There aren’t a hundred extras on $200 a day (or even for free: there aren’t any at all). We didn’t ask Ludwig Göransson (Oscar winner for ‘Oppenheimer’) to compose the soundtrack. The voice-over artists aren’t Luca Ward or Domitilla D’Amico. And there are no special effects. Nor is there any artificial intelligence. But there is a story, and that’s no small thing.

Making a difference (and telling the story)
We visited charity organisations, schools and educational centres, health clinics, cultural institutions, toy libraries, ambulances and emergency centres for both people and animals, and charity shops. And, of course, we also visited the heart of Vol.To’s activities: its headquarters in Turin. All places where volunteers make a difference.
