Gaetano de Balzac, also known as Gaetano Sorangelo was born at the end of the century before last in Turin. He studied visual communication at Albe Steiner. Fresh from graduation, he joined as an art assistant at an agency in his own city. Here he met among the others the future Ugo deBalzac and once again will meet him at the start of the new millennium in another ‘other’ agency. Seventeen years later, he is one of the founders of Balzac. Written like this it seems like a novel, but c’est la vie.
Over the years, Gaetano Sorangelo – also known as Gaetano de Balzac – has worked for a gazillion clients, or thereabouts. A few names, perhaps in alphabetical order? Zambon, Barilla, Giugiaro, Ferrero, Lavazza, Sant’Anna, Agnesi. For them, he creates brands, corporate identities, brochures, renderings, packaging, animations and everything else that makes for a spectacular presentation.
